Such growth in just 2 years! Great! But I do have a question..your hair seems to have became gradually darker..is that the result of indigo? I'm asking because I'm really interested if one can achieve jet black hair with indigo:)

Wow - you and I have been travelling this road together as I started in Sept 2009 also (although my hair was a tinsy bit shorter than yours when I started). It's so great to see such great success and I just love your hair. Congrats on great growth and quality - I think the length really suits your hair. I'm curious about your waves. You have more wavies in the 2010 shot than in the current shot. Is this the norm for you now that it's so much longer or had you just brushed them out?

We must have joined right around the same time, but like Julliams I started a bit shorter than you. Actually, I think I may have been shorter than both of you, because I'm still in the waist+ to hip stage, rather than solidly in hip like you. I wish I had your growth!

You guys are too kind. Here I am wallowing in hair hate and you guys lift me up and give me new hope. It's kind of hard to be without hair support, I feel like the 'real' world doesn't understand the things we go through for our hairs.

I was just recently insulted in a back handed way. There was a group of us at work and myself and another woman both have long hair that happened to be out one day. The woman who just had a trim, and color and straightened got a compliment about how beautiful her long hair was, and here I am standing right beside her with at least 5 inches more hair and I get no compliment. It was the worst!

I care too much I know but it just seemed like my fears were confirmed....that my hair looked terrible. Hanging out with you all makes me feel better about my struggles. I'm not alone.

Don't worry - I know I find myself telling people their hair looks great when I know they have just paid to have something done. It's kind of like the done thing and a justification that a large amount of money was spent to do something that will only last until the next wash. I also find that I only get compliments when my hair has been straightened. When it's wavy (messy) noone says squat. I assume it's because it's just the usual and not worth comment. Also, I'm pretty sure some of my friends and aquaintances think it's a bit long for their liking.
