Any ideas? How to do French Twist by Lilith Moon without teasing

I soooo love how this style (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyq2CoXDEiI) looks and I'd really like to have that exact same look on my own hair. :) BUT I definately do not want to tease it. Do you have any tips and ideas for me how I could get it really without teasing? Is it possible?

It's not the exact same look, getting that 'poof'/bump of volume is the hard bit, but there are a lot of French twist tutorials out there that don't use back-combing. If you secured Hypnotica's version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6cjaX_rUuE) with pins alone, I would lay bets it'd look very similar. :) And if you combined it with Nightshade's updo lift (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=87) first, I think that's the closest you'd get, and the French twist should hide the half-up used to make the 'poof'.
