I'm on a time crunch!! Demi Permanent (deposit only color) do I wash before??

I am getting my ends colored with Aveda's deposit only demi color today (in a few hours). Should i wash my hair before I go in to have it done? Does demi perm color hold better to hair with a little oil, or dry clean hair?:D

I do a light coconut oiling before I get my demis - but more to counteract damage than to help the color hold.

It's best to shampoo beforehand.
Color takes best to clean hair.

If it's deposit only, then it's not a demi-color. It is a semi.
