I've been watching the Mentalist lately, and have a serious crush on Grace Van Pelt's hair:

It's making me want a very blunt hemline once I get mine a little longer...
Anyone else want to post their favorite hairstyles on TV/Movies/in person? It's kind of fun =)

Awe good eye! I would have to agree, once I looked at it close. Color and texture are different then her top layer (which would be her real hair) I would be surprised if it were real.

I guess I don't mind if it's extensions....I won't get them, and it's still a nice look to aim for =).

Amanda Righetti (Grace on the Mentalist) actually has naturally long hair--there are times when you can see the heat damage on her ends and if you watch the last few seasons you can see it grow out and it's easy to tell when they trim off damage around midseason.
She's not a natural redhead, though, which can contribute to the slightly different texture at points in her hair.

She (Grace) might be one of those people who has a different texture on the underneath hair, than the canopy? It's looks real to me because I would have thought the extension hair would look "too good to be true" whereas it actually looks more real to me. It almost looks like they ran out of time and just straightened the top bits (I've done this before!!!)

Well real or extensions I agree you can use it for inspiration. I was extension queen!!!! I loved my extensions so I don't think bad when anyone wears them :)

I agree. Before I cut all of my layers off, my canopy was damaged and more ratty-looking, while the bottom layers were very healthy.
I Googled some more pictures of that actress and I agree her hair is quite pretty. :)

I always like the blunt hemline, I wear mine with a bit of an A line since it is a bit longer in front because I always cut it straight across the back. I think I like it so much because it makes the hair look equally thick at the bottom as it does at the top.
