Hi everyone,
I have been browsing videos and articles for weeks now looking for a way to get waves in my 1c/2b hair. I don't like to use heat on my because it is very fragile and splits easily. I've seen that LHC can solve anything so why not give this a shot! The waves I am looking for are shaped like an S. I need something that I can do over night without too much hassle. I haven't tried the bandana method but my hair is still fairly short. I appreciate your help! TIA!:)

Here is a method I used to use when my hair was short to achieve waves without heat. It's called French twisting. I hope this helps you out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luL_xi88S9U

Alternatively, (though I don't know if this is what you're looking for), you could try Loepsie's sock bun method (http://www.youtube.com/loepsie#p/u/66/3FV-YO46E8Y) and brush out the curls :)

Not sure I understand. If you are a 1C/2A, you have waves in your hair already. Are you saying that you want it to be wavier?

I like the way bandana waves look. I haven't tried doing it yet, but it seems to work well for most people.

What is your hair type now? In your statistics you have your a 1c/2a, this is already wavy..... you want wavier or is this your dream texture????

I am confused!

ETA_just seen Up Lisa has asked the same!

I've never tried this method, but always admired the pictures: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=82
Beautiful, very deep, S waves.

I want more waves in my hair. There seems to be a few very shallow ones but I want more defined ones.

Do you have a picture of what you are aiming for? I know all of the methods listed give me fantastic waves/curls. Do you want curls or waves?

I think I will be trying out the french twist waves :)

Obviously I already have wavy hair but I like trying new things and maybe I could wake up with my hair looking fairly neat and still wear it wavy :D

PS- if you want really defined waves I would just go with the good ol' two french braids in damp hair. It definitely gives you defined waves.

You could try a high ponytail, damp braided and curl the ends in sponge rollers, then sort of bun the length while you sleep.

I would like to try the sock bun curls, but I have too much hair for that little donut she (Loepsie) makes. Does anyone know if two or three sock buns would work and if I would have to make a separate pony tail for each, or just divide the one ponytail into sections?

Diamond Eyes: This is the type of waves I'm going for. To me they look like waves but I guess they could be considered curls.

Ohhh, I see what you mean. :) Well for waves like those I would recommend doing a bee-butt bun on each side of your head and sleeping with them. I would do this on slightly damp hair. Here's some pics to get an idea on what to do (not my pics):

First you'll want to section your hair into two parts. Then, twist it whichever way you like.:

You should end up with something like this.

And the waves will look this this (probably more defined than this, since your is shorter.):
