View Full Version : One of the only things keeping me from dying my whole head purple...

Is the fact that it would take about 5 boxes of dye. And I love my natural color to much.

Which I suppose is a good thing.

Anyway, put purple streaks in again! My hair just eats up dye, this is with no bleach, a few washes, and it's BRIGHT. My webcam does not give it justice. I don't know why my hair loves dye so much, but it takes right to it!

I like the color. Is that a veggie dye? I remember they used to have those near where I live, I think it was Manic Panic, and you could get a purple just like that. But it always washed out too fast.

Thanks!
I use SPLAT from the drug store. I don't think it's veggie. I've been meaning to try manic panic, because everyone says it works so well, but splat has never failed me yet.

There's still a bit of blue that's in my hair somewhere too from about a year ago.

Yeah, if you want to keep it around awhile, Manic Panic may not be the thing. It stayed in my hair about two months I think, and every time I washed it, I got a new shade of blue. Which I didn't actually mind!

I've used veggie dye and it takes 1-2 containers not 5 :) Also, your natural color and the purple are both gorgeous.

That looks great! I wish my purple streaks would show up that nicely. I used Manic Panic Amplified in Ultraviolet...and it's visible, but pretty subtle if you're not looking for it.
