Hello Everyone!
so i am in a bit of a pickle and am not sure what to do. I am being Hermione from Harry Potter for Halloween

I am dying my hair to make mine look like hers because I love it. My question is if i should pre color my hair to make it lighter before I go to the salon this weekend or should I just bring this picture and let the stylist highlight away. SO will this look ok with only highlights in it or will it still look not right/does it require more color

Pictures for reference:

It looks different in different lights
thanks!

You are gorgeous! (^(oo)^)v

I say bring the picture in and let the stylist use her judgment. Ask her before you start whether she thinks the look is achievable with your natural colour, and if not, let the salon do whatever is necessary to get there. DIYing colour at home will just complicate the stylist's job, IPHO.

I think it should be quite achievable without pre-lightening. Her base colour in the picture looks a shade or so lighter than what you have, but keep in mind the picture was shot with very bright lighting. With some highlights, your hair would probably look pretty similar.
