My neighbor is a stylist and I've been trying to make an appointment with her to trim my hair for the past month or so and finally worked out a day that worked with everyone's schedules for her to give my husband and son hair cuts so they don't look scruffy in some upcoming family wedding photos and give me the trim I've needed for a while.
I very rarely get my hair cut, think every three years or so. I'm just that lazy and unconcerned about my hair.
I told her I wanted to get rid of the ends that kept splitting despite my recent attempts to S&D, that I don't really like blunt hemlines but don't want layers sticking out of my braid and that I like a U shape. She did exactly what I wanted and I think she only trimmed two inches!

Looking at the picture I realize I should have brushed it to better show off her work.

Your hair looks good, and I'm intrigued by the wall next to you. Is that your house? Who is painting it?

It is one of the walls that form our back yard. This particular one is partially a neighbor's house and the rest is his garden wall. He replaced the wall shortly after I moved here and before he got around to painting it I asked if it would be ok for me to decorate it, he said "sure" and that is how the new section of wall ended up blue with something resembling a boganvilla climbing the junction with his house. The rest of the decorations are chalk drawings, mostly by me with some scribbles by my son.
I keep meaning to ask my land lord if I can put a smooth plaster on one of the other walls as the bumpy stucko texture is like using chalk on a cheese grater. I doubt he'd mind, but I should ask first. ^.^

Very nice! I like that U hemline better than blunt, for sure (thinking on my own self, that is). Maybe I'll give it a try next time I'm due for a cut.

Your hair is so pretty, and the ends look super healthy now :) You have the length I'm aiming for and a similar color/texture, too!

It's amazing, and very inspiring. We have a similar hairtype and color, so it's really encouraging for me. Your hair is really beautiful, I love your hemline now.

I'm glad you had a good salon experience. I can appreciate that I had a hair dresser cut my hair whenever I wanted a trim. I ended up going else where and got a good trim a week ago friday October 23 2011.

I'm glad that your experience was good. I got my hair trimmed at a salon last weekend and was also very pleased with result. I like the U hemline on you.

Your hair looks lovely! Isn't it nice to have someone that you can trust? I love my hairdresser. I claim her as my fifth daughter.
