Hair growth spurt-ers?

My hair, seems to grow about 1" in a month, which, is good? Right? I think that amount of growth is pretty good. But for some reason, my hair has growth spurts. Like it doesnt seem to grow for several months. Id understand weeks, but months?! Is that normal amoung all you growth spurt-ers? It doesnt grow for several months, I guess stalls? Then all of a sudden it has these spurts of an inch in a matter of a week to a month.
Sorry, if this is a noobish/stupid question. I just wondered, lol. :shrug:

It sounds normal to me. The most I've ever verified I've grown was 1.25 inches in 3 weeks. But sometimes I only get maybe 1/4 inch in a month. It works out to about 7 inches in a year.

Yeah, i would hope that I get at least 6 inches a year, but I honestly do not know what my yearly growth rate is. I do know though, my hair grows about an inch a month. I just wish it would keep that rate and not stall for several months. Lol.

Growth spurts are normal, my hair does it too. Usually right after winter for me, i get a growth spurt and in around 3 weeks i grow about 1 inch.

I live in California. So, I could never know whether the weather is really causing my hair to have any sort of growth spurts or not. Haha.

I appear to be a spurty type- my hair hadn't grown at all between March and September (so that's my summer growth out of the window) but it's suddenly shot out this month and I've had more than an inch grow in the past six weeks. :)

My hair hardly grows in the summer months but November to feb/march I normally get good growth. It averages for me at 6" a year so I am normal.

My hair only grew 1/8in last month. grrrr. I keep telling myself that its because it preparing for a spurt.
