This is my daughter's first braid ever! She's going to be 2 years old on December! the braid was done damp after a bath.

Oh, how sweet. Cutie. I do believe that's youngest little baby braid I've ever seen. How old is she? Looks like she's got a good amount of hair.

Love it!! Glad you got a pic of it, they grow up so incredibly fast!
My little one will be 2 on December 14 and I've just begun recently giving her braids.

She is going to be 2 years old on December 26, she was born a preemie so her actual date was supposed to be February 26.

She had twice the amount of her than her twin brother :cheese: and her hair texture is the same as mine, so I never really noticed she reached SDL until I rinsed her conditioner out and I noticed it was really long!

Her favorite food is seaweed!

wooliswonderful you are right, they grow so fast! Share a picture of her braid please :D.

She's doing great! I never had a preemie, my smallest was 6lb 13 oz at 38 weeks.
Lots of Dec birthdays, our oldest daughter is going to be 16 on December 29. :)
Wow, seaweed, huh? I think my babe's favorite is peaches.
I don't have a braid pic yet, I'll post one as soon as I do. Isn't it fun when the little ones have lots of hair? :)

So sweet!! My cuties hair is still too "mullety" to braid. The front part is so short (jaw) but the back is almost waist when wet, but her curlies pull it up to about APL

I can't wait until the front grows out enough to braid it.

Sorry for the strange angle, this is the baby's first single dutch braid. I normally don't braid damp but she happened to be sitting semi-still.
I would prefer it to look neater but oh well. :)
As soon as I was done she took off and I had a very hard time getting a pic.

Oh that's adorable! I think I trimmed my daughter's hair until it was all one length before I started letting it grow. By the time she was three she had almost waist length hair and her braid was thicker than mine... with hardly any taper :o Wish I had a pic of it!!

Aww, look a the little dutch braid. Good job, momma--looks like you caught her at just the right moment. I can't believe you can actually do a dutch braid on a squirmy toddler.

Aww, so princess-like! I would have loved to have had my hair braided like that as a kiddie. [Of course, I had almost no hair then, but still!]

SQUEEEEE!!!

So cute ^_^

My 17mo has really sparse hair but I've braided it a few times, not down the back but one up from the top, pebbles style, just because she brings me hair ties and wants braids like her big sister. :crush:

Adorable! My oldest boy is 12 and I measured his shoulder length hair at the ponytail. Four inches +... He definitely got that from his father lol.
