View Full Version : Might I be a 2b?

I don't have pics yet but can get some if it is worthwhile. I've always thought of myself as a fine, thin, straight haired gal.

However, on my first day at work last year, my then jaw length, smoothly blow dried, layered bob encountered very foggy humid weather.

The picture they took of me..looked like I had had a light wavy perm.

So, humidity creates waves.

When I wash my now shoulder length, layered to jaw (growing them out) long, slightly inverted bob, it is bendy from the cheek bones down. If it air dries though it looks a bit messy rather than being in neat bends.

I just wonder whether I am less of a stright hair than I thought.

Any tips or do you need pics?

Pictures could help us identify your hairtype. I think you should try washing your hair, towel drying it and leaving it to air dry. No wet combing or detangling. That way you should be able to tell if your hair dries straight or wavy. I myself just found out this week using this method, that I am more of a 3a curly than a 2c wavy.Good luck, and post a picture if you can:)

It certainly sounds like you're in the wavey camp, though without any pictures, I can't say which one exactly.

So yes, pics please :)
