Hi there. :)
My first post after a lonng time of lurking.

I cut my hair into an asymmetrical stacked bob about two months ago. I decided I want to go back long, and was wondering if any of you had tips for growing out the stack or at least making it look more presentable without having to flat iron it every day. (It looks BAD if I just let it air dry.)

I had to do some googling to figure out what one of those looked like!

What worked for me was getting my hair wet, then slicking it straight back, putting on a headband, and then a knit hat that fit somewhat tightly. Once it dried, it was pretty straight with no heat.

I agree with Mythica. With some creative pinning or wrapping it's possible to get your hair more or less straight. Hairpins, headbands, scarfs and hats where my friends while growing out my buzz cut and I needed them up until nearly APL to get my hair to behave. Once you can do your first updo it's easier to get your hair to behave although more length definitely makes it better.
