Today I fixed my hair in a smooth ponytail, then braided two fishtail braids. I wound them into a bun and held them in place with hair clips and bobby pins. Something so cute happened later in Sunday School~ One little boy in my class came in with a friend. He walked behind my chair as I sat there playing the ukulele while I waited for the kids to finish coloring. Suddenly he stepped up by my side and said in Chuukese, "Wow, that looks great!" At first I didn't know what he was talking about, and then I realized he meant my hair! So cute! I guess even the little kids are starting to take notice of the different styles I try :)

I absolutely love your hair, it's so ethereal, and the hair clips are so pretty, and as for the scenery where you live, it's like a heaven!

It's really nice style! But I ever can't imagine how many time needs in order to braided TWO fishtail braids with hair so long... Any way, you just incredibly.

Beautiful! I love it! How long did it take you to fishtail braid your hair for this style? It takes forever (well, that's an exaggeration. :p) for me to fishtail braid. My arms get tired too. :D

Such a beautiful hairstyle. It must have take forever! But looks like it is well worth the time. :) Absolutely lovely.

Thank you so much for the compliment! Yes, I speak Chuukese :) Actually I do a lot of translation work, too, so a lot of Chuukese folks say my brother, sister and I have a bigger vocabulary than most native speakers LOL

BTW, in case you're wondering, Chuuk (formerly Truk) is one of the four states of the Federated States of Micronesia. My family and I live on the island Weno inside the Chuuk Lagoon.

Thanks so much! We are about 4,000 miles southwest of Hawaii, just above the equator and in the same timezone as the eastcoast of Australia :) You might be able to find the Fed. States of Micronesia on a globe or map, and possible even our island state, Chuuk or Truk as it was known during WWII. The Japanese navy occupied these islands back then, and the Truk Lagoon was the site of a major battle. Over 60 Japanese ships are at the bottom of the Lagoon, and many folks come out here to dive.

It took me about 25-30 minutes to create this look. I agree~ the fishtail braid can seem like it's taking fooorrr-eeevvveeerrrrr to finish!
