AMAZING hair growth!!!!

I just grew 3/4ths of an inch in nine days!

does this happen? does this really happen!? wow!!

so before, I measured on 8/20 at 25".
Then I measured again on 9/18 at 27"!! I thought this was pretty amazing.

So now I measured again today (9/27) on a whim, because I thought it seemed longer... sure enough, it measured at 27.75 inches!

I'm blown away... it looks like my 30" milestone is much closer than I expected :D

I wish I could compare this growth rate to whatever it was before, but I don't know what my rate was before so there's no way of knowing...

Are you measuring at the same point? Many parts of my hair are longer than others.
But, if you're measuring correctly; well, good work!

Are you sure you measured correctly in all the measurements?

Mairead & Night kitten, yes, i've been measuring according to the standard of: from the front hairline, over the head, down to the longest hairs. I double checked when it showed such a big difference and made sure i was holding the tape straight, and got the same results.

maybe it's because of the long, hot summer we're having here in Texas, or maybe my sudden jump from cones to CWC/CO washing, weekly deep treatments, ACV, honey, coconut oil, lavender...

Well... my hair grew literally an inch over the course of a week earlier this summer (I honestly don't know how), so it's definitely possible.

Some hair grows at a steady pace, some people get short bursts and others have big growth spurts followed by stalls.

WOW! Seems like you are having a growth spurt! If I were you I would record and measure on a regular schedule to see what kind of growth you get over time, out of curiosity.

And, just a thought; if my folicles were cranking out hair at that rate, I would be very sure to be taking my multivitamin and getting adequate protein throughout the day at meals and snacks, so the new growth is good and strong.

Congratulations! it's normal, it happens. I have had big spurts too, 1 inch in 2 weeks :p Those are the best. Enjoy!

Could it be that the curl pattern is different? Or are you stretching the hair when you measure? I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's worth ruling stuff out before you start expecting crazy hair growth. (I know one member has reported that she can get 3 inches/month with enough vitamins and massage, plus genetics, and I've experienced ~4 inches in 5 weeks once when my hair decided to have a growth spurt.)

I live in Texas, and we have long hot summers as is, but now we're suffering a drought; that = longer, hotter summers. hair is supposed to grow more during summer, right?

I see growth. I get bursts of growth like this normally from Nov- Feb and then it slows down.

I know of 2 other members who got excellent growth like 2.5" in a month if my memory serves me right, they where spidermom after a large trim and Heidi. Ive just done a 4" trim, fingers crossed I can have some too! Well done it looks lovely.

I am growing at a fairly good rate myself since started my supplement regimen. It is so hard for me to get an exact measurement of the back of my head since I can't see where the hair ends. My bangs have gone from just below my eyes to just above the tip of my nose since I started the supplement regimen.

hi everyone, I just posted my hair routine, exercise and eating habits to my blog if anyone wants to look. there's nothing extraordinary about those habits, but if anyone can look at them and tell me what's causing the growth that would be great!

this summer when i was coloring i had 1 inch in 10 days so it really is possible.. hot weather does a lot of weird stuff with my hair, unfortunately most of my growth broke off this summer...
