View Full Version : 5 Year LHC anniversary - well nearly!!:)

Hi All!

My 5 year LHC anniversary is on Oct 2 but I'll be away on a holiday so I thought I would post some pics and an update a few days early. Hope you don't mind:)

In 2004 I cut my waist length hair to a cute little pixie type cut. I loved the cut for a couple of years then with most short cuts you begin to miss your long hair again. I found LHC in 2006 and wished for my longer hair back. I've spent 7 years going from short to APL to short to shoulder to short etc etc etc. I never got back to BSL or waist during those 7 years until now. It's finally at BSL after deciding in 2009 that I REALLY wanted my hair long. I've had a little baby since 2009 so my thin&fine hair went lovely and 'thick' and then I had a horrible post-partum shed. My re-growth is about shoulder length now and it is definitely thicker than the rest of my hair so there is hope for me yet! Once I reach waistish length I will trim and maintain so the rest of the re-growth can catch up.

I won't bore you with pics from years ago so here are just a few from 2009 until now.

April 2009 - shortest I've ever gone and I absolutely hated it! Why oh why did I do it? That's not my baby!

Happy Anniversary! Your hair is looking great! I'm seeing a lot of progress since November 2010! Your hair looks a lot thicker. And I'd say there's no doubt you're at BSL! Now just stay away from those scissors ;-)

We have a similar hair type and it seems to sit the same way so I hope mine looks like that when I reach BSL!

Thank you for the congratulation's and lovely comments everyone! It's kind of hard to believe I'm finally hitting the bra strap:) Growing long hair certainly takes patience and perseverance:)

From the shortest pic in 2009 till now it took about 2 3/4 years. From the layered bob thingy hair do I had in Jan 2010 till now it has taken 20 months.

Don't worry, it will grow!
