My brother and I took some students from our Tae Kwon Do class to one of the elementary schools here on our island. We did a demo for the students~ they really had fun!

Before I joined the LHC, I basically did nothing with my hair except put it in a cinnamon bun or bun/ponytail.


Since joining the LHC, though, I've started trying a lot more hairstyles. Most days I do a variation of a French braid~ a tiny one as an accent, a slanted French braid, double slanted French braids, etc. If I try a new look, I upload pics to the Mane Forum. Otherwise, I'm most likely wearing my hair in a style I've already tried and shared here.


Today I wore my hair in a sideways French braid with a braided bun on the right side.

So you're saying your braiding and updo skills are only 9 months old? Good grief! You have learned really fast. I used to console my updo lack of skill to the fact that I didn't learn it as my hair grew and so now it gets all tangled up when I try something. But I'm only at waist length! I am amazed.

Or did you know how to do all those braids on other people, before?

Great "action" shots of your hair! It looks like a very functional style, and I have to wonder when you're swinging around if the braid ever clobbers anyone.

In reply to one question~
I used to braid my hair a lot when I was a teenager,
then for a while I got out of the habit and went through a very boring period
where all I really did with my hair was put it in a cinnamon bun or something equally uninspired.



(Not that a cinnamon bun can't look awesome~ they can and do! But day after day after day...)



My mom is the one who encouraged me back in December to look on-line
for "hairstyles for super-long hair", and the LHC was at the top of Google's list.

I'm so glad that I'm taking much better care of my hair now,
and also that I'm actually doing something with it each day. I've learned
a lot of looks and ideas on the articles here, plus from Lilith Moon's videos.
I take the time to fix my hair everyday now, usually a look that I've already posted
on the Mane forum like double slanted French braids or another kind of a French/Dutch braid
with a braided side bun. If I try something new, I make sure I take pictures and post them on the forum.
I have a few styles that I haven't uploaded yet. Maybe I can get around to that this week!
