Whenever I go out everyone I see has their hair put up and never down why is that?

People here are accustomed to a person responding to the responses they get in a thread. It is considered a courtesy, although optional. Not everyone does so.

People wear their long hair up for a number of reasons, comfort, style, to protect it from weather, tangling etc.

In some cultures or jobs it may be necessary (job related for safety) and general acceptance (cultural).

lol - Jojo .. I too wear my hair up because the people on LHC said it was better for the health of my hair BUT I've come to the conclusion that it is better up to save my sanity too, my hair drives me crazy if I wear it down around the house .. I wear it half up when out "most" of the time :-)
