6 months of growth!

This is my hair on the 5th of January this year:

It had been growing since October, but this is the first shot from the back that I have.

This is it last week after washing:

This is it today after I decided to give it a quick straighten to see how long it was. (This is the second time I have used heat on it this year. I'm avoiding it like the plague, but with the waves, sometimes straightening helps to show the layers and things.)

I should be at APL by the end of the year. It is all really exciting! I am enjoying my hair so much this time around! :D :cheese:

Thanks, ladies! You all have such gorgeous hair that it is an inspiration to be around (at least virtually :) ).
I'm an updo-lover, and I love my toys!
It is still short compared to most of the hair on this forum, but I get excited when I see photos from the past couple of years, because it is now getting longer than it has been in most of the pictures from the past three years or so! :D

It must be so exciting to be expecting APL by the year's end...my hair is about an inch shorter than yours, but I don't expect I'll see the majority of my length (I have a fair few short layers and a growing-out fringe) at my armpits until well into 2009. I'll be keeping a close eye on how your growing goes, particularly once our summer kicks in. That's one good thing about our stinking humidity!!

Nice growth, Jane! 3-4" it looks like. I am amazed that you're getting it into such nice updos already.

Thanks! When I measure it, it is about 4 or 5 inches since January (I'm very tall and have a long neck :) ) but it still manages to hide length with a bit of wave, even when straightened - the updos use all of the length including the stuff that hides, so I can do more with it. I also love updos because it makes my hair look longer. Where there is a will, there is a way. I still can't do a real bun or braid, but am very much looking forward to it! :o

Your hair seam to have grown a lot! I think that you are almost getting out of those wierd stages when growing from short hair! I´ve been there many many times but im sure that at the end of this summer you will have a big difference again to show us
