Hyssop?

Hello! This one may be far fetched, but I have a hyssop plant and recently cut off some of the flowers and let them sit in water for a few hours. When I took them out there was a dark residue left on my fingers and it made me wonder if perhaps they may have some kind of dying qualities if added to henna or in an herbal treatment? I did some research online but mostly found information on using it for teas and cooking. Anyone ever experimented with this?

When thinking of the quantities and length of time needed to use it as a dye or rinse possibly left in, it is prudent to consider skin absorption.

I do not think hyssop qualifies for that kind of use at this time.

Oooh great article Ktani, thank you! Sounds like it has so many potential uses but potential side effects too, so this one I will leave to others more experienced to play with! I will keep playing with Prickly Pear now, pretty sure thats a safer one =)
