Hey Lhc! I was sitting around playing with my hair this afternoon, like usual, when I decided to try an Edwardian/Gibson style again. I've always had trouble getting sufficient poofiness in front, but I think I've hit on something that i would wear out of the house. Here are the results:

I can't get the pouf anymore. But you pulled it off pretty well; congratulations.

I wish I could do that! I can never get the pouf done correctly. My hair always wants to find a part and flop to the left or right...

Thanks, everyone! I'm still not completely satisfied with the front poof. I can get the left side to look pretty good, but when I try to poof the right side, it makes the back look odd. For the front, I have been doing one big pin curl and then smoothing the rest of the front hair over that. I think maybe if I made 2-3 smaller pin curls more around the perimeter, instead of just right in front I could get better symetry. I know I really should be backcombing to be authentic, but I try not to do that if I can help it.

I'd love to see your guys' interpretations and pics!

I will keep working on it and if I get it down pat I will make a video.

I am also working on a really good, fool-proof method to achieve a faux bob for a flapper style, but my frizz is giving me fits on that one.

Lovely! Now I really want to do my hair like that!
I just watched Anne of Green Gables and am trying to figure out how to poof my hair. :)

That looks lovely. I tried it as well and on my lengh it sort of looks like a messy bun. Well actually messy head with little bun.:)

thanks, guys! I'm still playing around with getting perfect poof symmetry in front, but I haven't had a chance to take new pics. I'll keep working on it!

ooh I love it! I can't wait until my bangs grow out long enough for me to attempt that style.
