I've never started a monthly measure in thread before, but here goes!

I measured the other day, it's now at 51". That's down from 55", I've been snipping off an inch or so after every wash for a while.

:scared: It's July already?! My month to trim. Pre-trim measurement is 56.5" so up 1/2" this month.

ETA: Trimmed back to just below knee crease today. 07/01/08 @ 54"

Up to 20" from 19" in June. My hair had stalled for about a month so i'm glad to see its catching up to where it should be. Hopefully i'll get another inch of growth this month.

When it's wet it grows to about 35"
When it's dry, it springs back to about 29". :(
That should tell you something about the somewhat wavy/poofy nature of my hair.

115 cm or 45,3 inches
It’s getting too long to measure on my own

24.5" for me so a typical 1/2", just 1" to the top of bra strap!

Hoping for better growth next month with the monistat

How do you do the measuring? Is curly/wavey hair pulled straight? Hair wet or dry?

However you like, the measurements are for your use.

Personally I usually measure mine dripping wet and combed straight.

Still about 32.5". I did a lot of S&D this month, so no real measurable growth, but nice soft ends. :D

Lessee, after my panic of a few days ago, I was pleased to discover that it has in fact grown, not shrunk! I gained all of 1/8 of an inch this month... woo. 0.125" of growth! I think I need a trim. Bah.

I haven't measured in months because I don't really care to, and because it's gotten to be really difficult. I just did a really quick measuring which probably isn't all that accurate because
A: my hair was just removed from a bun
and
B: the aforementioned difficulty with measuring on my own.

But I got ~48"

I am about 28.75 after a 1 inch trim this month. It had been 17 months since last trim. I have done a couple dusting on myself where I cut the few scragglers that stuck out from the rest:) Hopefully it will start growing again. Summer seems to kick it off and last year i averaged a inch a month for 4 months then stalled..hopefully it picks up again soon:)

23", but I haven't measured in a few months so I don't know how much growth that is. I usually grow about .5-.75" a month.

It should be about 63.5 inches, but I'll check tomorrow when I wash my hair. To measure my hair, I basically have to get it wet, mark where it reaches on my calf with sharpie, ducttape two measuring tapes together, then get someone to kneel behind me and read the measuring tapes. It's sort of a pain to do.

29" again, I am going to trim in a week and a half and i will trim 1cm (from 72cm -71cm) Which will leave me at 28.75"? I'm not too good at converting! But in the next month i'll be 29" again, i am maintaining :)

36.5, down from 39...I got a trim, but I wasn't expecting to be back where I was in Jan!

I'm rather disappointed, and it didn't seem to make any difference in how it looks or feels.

I'm now at 32 inches. It seems to have grown 2 inches in the last 3 months, which is quick for me. It feels longer too. I hope I can keep this up.

burns_erin

19 inches, I think that is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch a month on average.

My hair grew an entire inch this month - very odd. It measured in at 45", but I've just this minute trimmed an inch, so I'm back at 44" (which means I don't have to change my profile, very handy!). :D

Well, June was not up from May at all no matter how much I measured. 26.5, 26.5. Now it is 27.5. I guess it's true about "average" growth, haha.

July 3rd, 2008, 05:11 AM
So here's my measurements:

I am up from 34.84 inches to 35.43 inches, having gained half an inch of growth (1,5 cm)...

I'm happy with it :)

I can't wait untill I get to 37 inches... than it's only another 10 inches to go untill I hit classic lenght!

betsala
July 3rd, 2008, 05:11 AM
i am at 32, so i'm up 1 inch this month! this seems like a lot for me though, so i bet i measured incorrectly last time (though i wouldn't mind an inch a month in growth :) ).

Meli
July 3rd, 2008, 07:31 AM
33.75", up 0.25". Not as much as I had hoped, but I have had trouble with random breakage lately, so I should perhaps be happy I gained any length at all. I think I have found the cause now - dryness. It seems like my hair needs different treatment depending on season.

Oh No! Do you think you've reached terminal?

No... Last Thanksgiving I cut 6" off and went to 28". I had amazing growth in the last part of November and December, and then NOTHING!

I know I can go to at least 34" - I've done it. But that's the longest it's ever been. I really really really hope that this is not terminal length for me. I'm currently blaming it on medications (hormones) and monistat treatments, so I've stopped every commercially-made product from going onto my hair. We'll see how that goes.

 :knit:

You must have a longer torso than I? 41" will be classic for me?
