Definitely something I want to know too.
But I guess itīs next to impossible, you can probably only reduce split ends. ;)

Hey, seems as if we are hair twins (almost, my hair is fine but also 1a and i). :D

Do you know what's causing them?

I henna, wear my hair up all the time, and wrap it with a Buff when sleeping. That makes it pretty much splitproof.

Figure out what causes them for you and stop doing it.

Harder for some people than others. Some people get split ends from heat styling or rough handling. Other people get split ends from living.

You might want to read this article: Damaged Hair: Understanding, Preventing & Rehabilitating (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=79). Even if your hair is not damaged, it will give you some good tips on what damages hair and how to prevent it. Good luck! :D
