Here's a little crown braid I did. I was going to sew in a ribbon, but I was visiting my mother and she insisted on using these dahlias out of her garden. Who am I to say no? :D

It took me a while to learn how to crown braid, even longer to figure out how to make it neat -- just takes time, really. Also, they are so dang useful!

I'm in an opera chorus right now, and all of us are wigged -- meaning they expect me to get all of my hair up in pincurls. HA. Last time I tried that I blew out my elbow from the tension and pressure of doing my hair for an hour straight. So this time, I'm going to pincurl the first two inches into the hairline, and then crown braid the rest -- it should give them enough of a base to pin the wig in, and it should save me time and grief!
