If I understand it correctly, you are not asking about the easiest bun to make, but about the easiest bun to wear. Well, that depends on the lenght of your hair. If you are APL, I think the most comfortable, and also easiest to do is the peacock twist. I'm almost BSL, so right now the easiest is the cinnamon bun. I also heard many people say, that with long hair a braided bun is very comfortable.

For me a cinnamon bun. I can have my hair up in no time with one of these.

I'd say a cinnamon bun with jaw clips or a hairstick, if it'll stay. It goes up in seconds and stays tight all day, and if you position it correctly the weight of it won't kill your muscles. ;)

Does the Gibson Tuck count as a bun? If I put a hairstick in it holds like a rock and doesn't pull too much for my sensitive scalp.

I like the lazy wrap and if I do it with two sticks instead of one it holds like a rock.

For me it is lazy wrap bun! When I started to wear buns I had difficulties to catch the technique of the cinnamon bun:confused:

When my hair was your length, I wore a Pencil Bun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0k3dD4qX34) daily -- fast to put in, comfortable to wear. I also liked the Lazy Wrap Bun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sG9-gLSqnoc) and the Magic Knot Bun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftpvK9OA1wI). These were all secured with a single hair stick.

These days, now that my hair is close to waist length, I like the Nautilus Bun (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=466690622319220011) (my daily go-to bun), Cinnamon Bun, and Lazy Wrap Bun. These are all secured with a three-prong hair fork.

My go-to bun is the lazy figure-eight, which is amazingly secure and stable for me with either a single hairstick or a three/four-prong fork. It's actually a lazy infinity bun rotated by 90°... unfortunately I can't post a link to a tutorial video as the only one I know is in a Photobucket album that seems to have been made private since I discovered it. :S

It's too bad that video is private now. I'd LOVE to learn the Lazy Infinity Bun!

Cinnamon bun, hands down.

If I had to choose another, I'd pick the Nautilus! But also I've just recently gained the necessary length/skill to do it. We're in our honeymoon period. :D

I'd say a tight lazy wrap bun, takes no more than 30 seconds for me to put up, and it stays up no matter if I'm horseback riding or playing a hard core game of Badminton.:)
