Ok if you live anywhere near Bergen and you have a problem with you hair the hairdresser for you is Pink, they are located near Sotra and the reason why I am doing a bit of a advertisement for them here is that they saved my hair today.

I had the most horrible tangle you have ever seen, most of my length was matteled. It happed in one night when I forgot to braid it, frankly I do not know how it ended up like that, it was dreadful. I have never seen anything like it. I worked for two weeks for over 10 hours a day to try to untangle it. I tried stay in conditioner, I tried oil, I bought new brushes, I tried everything, nothing worked. Eventually I had to go to the hairdresser and they managed to save it.

I was so close to having to cut all my hair off, my scalp was burning from having to carry the weight of the tangle, and it was torture to get it out. Three hairdressers worked on my hair for three hours, but they did it. I did loose 1,5 cm in thickness, and they did have to snip parts of the worst part and because of my vanity when it comes to my hair I am probably going to have extensions sewn into the two locks that was cut, as well as having extensions sewn into my bangs to give more thickness. Yes I know 1,5 cm in only a little more than half an inch, but loosing that thickness really hurt and I can not deal with it so I will have that fixed, however the hairdressers at Pink did save my hair. I was going to have to cut it all off and was about to tell the hairdresser to do it when they said they would try.

Now Pink is a good hairdresser for long hair, they get it, they never said they would cut, and when an apprentice suggested taking of the length to make it easier to get it all off she was actually corrected by one of the hairdressers, in fact Pink is the most long hair friendly hairdresser I have ever been to.

So yes as a thank you for saving my hair I had to give this salon a shot out for saving my hair. I was so terrified I would have to cut it all short but they save it, so as a thank you to them I can do nothing but recommend them to anyone near Bergen that need a hairdresser.

This was a wonderful update, Venefica - now, if I could find a _really_ long-hair friendly salon here in Oslo... Oh well, I had my hair cut at a salon in June so it's early days, really. They said when I made my appointment that all of their stylists were really good with long hair, but, well, I may well not go back... I think there might just be a few differing opinions here. :suspect:

Anyway, that was truly wonderful treatment! And if I lived anywhere near Sotra I would certainly know where to go - come to think about it, if I don't go to a salon until next summer, perhaps I might have my holiday on the west coast? ;)
It sucks that you lost thickness - hopefully the bits they had to snip away won't be too evident when you wear your hair in one of your lovely updos!
Happy recovery :flowers: - and I hope those extensions won't be too much of a pain down the road - I had extensions once, and I swore, Never again!

The missing bits are not evident, and at about half an inch in thickness loss when I had over four my hubby swears no one can see it. I however can feel it when I run my fingers over my braids and I know. I am not dead set on extensions, I have to hear what they say about it tomorrow, but I am very tempted to get those 1,5 cm back, but at the same time my hair likes bangs as it do not like to part evenly and if I can not make it part properly it is not that problematic with bangs.

Thank you for your well wishes.

I do really recommend this salon, if you ever drop by it you have to let me know so we could meet for coffee.
