What oils do not solidify at temperatures lower than say ... 50˚ (10C˚) I know that coconut oil definitely does, so that won't work for me during the winter.
:) TIA! :disco:

Hang on - are you saying your house is colder than 10 degrees in the winter or the external temperature? If it's the latter, and you're worried about coconut oil solidifying on your hair, it doesn't. It probably won't be liquid indoors in the winter, but then personally I prefer it solid as it's easier to handle.

No, my house will be warmer :) However I use coconut oil for my horses manes and tails and now that we will be living in Michigan, I wasn't sure what would be a good choice for them during the winter. The barn is kept at about 50˚and I'd like to store it there. I also don't want to oil them up and have it go stiff out in the snow. I'm also planning to use mane & tail bags (http://www.sunwolffarms.com/ponypouches/Sage_Full_Body_with_PP_Mane_and_Tail_Bags.jpg) all winter as well for protective purposes.

Ah, right. I didn't think you'd have your house that cold, but I couldn't work out why else your coconut oil would be that cold.
I don't have any recommendations for you as I only really use coconut oil, but I think most oils are liquid at cold temperatures.

Most oils are liquid down to freezing except the ones from the palm family: coconut, palm, babassu, cohune, murumuru, tucuma. Also, fractionated coconut oil stays liquid down to freezing temps.

Olive starts solidifying for me in the refrigerator, but that's more like 4C than 10C.

yeah I live in calgary and my hair goes *stiff* in cold weather if I have coconut oil on it. I don't mind that tough, because it helps protect my hair from frizz in the cold really efectively. when I get inside the hair relaxes again.

Jojoba oil solidifies in the fridge. It is a liquid wax.
