View Full Version : Finally at BSL! (pics)

After having brain surgery as a kid, I had to have my head shaved. Since then, I've always kept my hair pretty short. I have very thick, very coarse 2c/3a hair. I have been trying to grow it out recently, though, and it's now the longest it's ever been. I am officially at BSL as of today, since I straightened my hair for the first day of school tomorrow (I'm a teacher).

Yahoo! I know my hair is still pretty short, but it's definitely growing :)

It's funny that you say I have a neat hemline, because I haven't trimmed in 4 months, and I was wondering if my hair had started to get ragged yet :) I guess I can keep going then! I want to try to make it at least 6 months before I trim again.

Your hair looks beautiful! And that is a lot of growth! Your picture is inspiring to me as I am the length of your first photo, so hopefully I can be BSL next year too! Good job!

Looks great. Your hair reminds me SO much of mine at that length. I had the same layers going and everything - it's amazing.
