Hi guys
I do not have a picture that shows my backview. But this is the best i have.
My hair isn't silky smooth nor coarse. Its in between. It can frizz up easily or even poof up when i go out. My hair is less curly on top but has tighter curls towards the end.
Can you please hair type me and tell me what I am for I am very confused! Please forgive my retarded expression in the first picture:p Thank you in advance!

Oooh, pretty hair!

I think I'd call it 2c/3a. If your hair has been combed or brushed at all before those pictures were taken (ideally, these are done with hair that's freshly washed, allowed to dry completely untouched, and then photographed immediately), you might be a solid 3a.

What Anje said. :) Your hair looks very similar to my DBF's and I call his 2c/3a.

I love your hair color!

could someone share the link to a post that explains how to determine my hair type?

Since I am being told that I am a 3a, I think I would call this hair a 2c.

If you're being called a 3a, I am utterly bewildered and need to go back to hair-typing school (not unlikely).

OTOH, I'd still call the OP a 2c.

I agree with 2c/3a

It looks like 2C to me.

I'd call it 2c.

But as previously mentioned, it might behave differently in a just-washed-and-air-dried-but-not-touched picture.

Looks like 2c in that pic, but if I were a betting woman I'd guess 3a if you follow a curly hair care regimen for a few weeks and take a typing photo of your hair right after it's dried with no manipulation.

I sill think you're an a/b mix.

I think the OP is 2c with no 3a. The first pic looks 2b/c to me.

I didn't mean to hijack the thread - I was just pointing out that in relation to someone like me (or you) who is 3a/3b, she has a more wavy than corkscrew pattern. So that the OP is probably more likely in the 2s.

It seems like often those with less curly hair will uptype someone to more curly - and someone with more curly hair might downtype them as well. It helps to have a visual guide. I was using my hair as a visual.

That's true, we do see it differently from our perspectives. I don't see 3 because the overall look ia wavy, even with the end spirals. They start low enough in the pics as part of the overall pattern to keep it a 2.

This. Mostly 2c, especially at the ends.

People forget that *all* waves are spiral shapes, just like curls - they are just much more stretched out. Evidence of spirals doesn't automatically put a person into 3 territory, IMO.

Anyway, OP, I think your hair is really beautiful! Love the wave pattern. A little jealous. :D
