Crowning achievement!

... Pun intended, of course. To the "Pictures, or it did not happen" crowd, here is a picture of my crown braid!!!
This is one that has eluded me for a long time - like Torrin says in her tutorial, "This braid is the devil!"
Yes, it is difficult - but I have conquered it at last!!!

Hurray! I really want to be able to do this braid. I think it's from watching Return of the Jedi and Princess Leia's crown braid (at least I think it's this movie).

Yay! Congrats. That looks great. Love the color too, btw. I've tried it a couple times, but the angles are really awkward and I have to do it standing up. Plus, once I wrapped twin braids around my head like one and my mom said it looked stupid :P

Even if your normal English braid won't go around (Mine isn't even halfway and I'm at hip!) you can still crown braid. I did it to my sister's hair, and hers is about an inch past APL. The hair that ends before wrapping all the way around will be replaced in the braid by new hair.

For some reason I found this one kind of easy! I don't know if I got a really good tutorial or what, but the one I looooooooooove but cannot for the life of me figure out are waterfall braids. I want to do them so badly but they never work.

Sigh. And now I'm sad. ;)

Hooray; congratulations! I've only managed this one once or twice. Most of the time I end up with a very loose area that ruins the look of the entire braid.
