Just curious, why is it bad to brush wet hair but OK to comb wet hair? Thanks!

I guess it is because the comb has a smaller surface, so when you comb, you can feel if the comb reaches a tangled area. You can also see which tooth has cought in the tangle, and you can carefully detangle with your fingers. With the brush being bigger, having a bigger surface, it distributes the pressure of your hand on a bigger area, thus you don't feel the tangles so easily. You can also not see where the tangled strands are, so you are more prone to damage your hair. I hope this makes sense...:o

Hair is usually more fragile when wet than when dry. Combing wet, usually with lots of conditioner and a wide toothed comb, detangles and won't snag the hairs as much as brushing wet would.

It's a matter of avoiding the damage to the hair when it's in its most fragile state.
