So I straitened my hair a few days ago and used a coney shampoo and conditioner as well as a serum. Now I am going back to a month of no cones. I just bought the Giovanni 50:50 shampoo and am wondering if that is enough to wash off the cones or do I need something stronger? The whole sulfate thing really confuses me:confused:

I think the Giovanni 50:50 only has Cocamidopropyl Betaine (which is a mild cleanser). Maybe you can try a regular shampoo with a bit of sulfates. If that doesn't seem to work, try a clarifying one (Suave Clarifying, VO5 Kiwi, etc) which are loaded with SLS, ALS, and so on. HTH :)

thanks! so I guess using Neutrogena anti residue would work then?

I think that will do it. But if your hair doesn't feel like it has a lot of buildup, try using a lighter shampoo instead.

Absolutely.
