So, I'm cruising through the "O" store - yeah, no comment - and was perusing shower heads because I'd like to get an adjustable pressure one, when lo and behold - I find not just one, but TWO shower heads that you can add vitamin C inserts into.
:cheese:

What will the Japanese think of next?

Here's proof (click on thumbs to enlarge):

I had one of those, which I bought in the UK from Amazon. It is supposed to neutralise the chlorine better than regular filters. I can't say that I noticed any huge difference to a regular filter, but it's obviously difficult to measure!

Let us know how you get on.

Nifty -- if I could change my shower head I'd have to pick one of those up. Water here is atrocious.

Can you fill it with Vitamin B? No more taking supplements - I'll just pour it directly on my hair! :P

Why not go for inserting full meals in that shower head? Breakfast while you wash! :D

What exactly does this do? Why would pouring V C all over your body be a good idea? I'm confused...

This is just my guess; Since V C is acidic, it'll lower the pH in the water and give a similar effect to ACV-rinsing.

That was my thought as well. I've never seen such a thing in the States. Although I did use finely ground vitamin C on my hair once to help remove hair dye. I gathered from the picture of the girl touching her hair on the yellow box, that it was geared more for hair care.

See my post above - it's a chlorine filter. :)

I’ve been reading this forum for a while and there’s a lot of interesting stuff. I don’t post regularly as I don’t always have the time. I stumbled upon this thread and would like to let other people know my experience with vitamin c showers.

When I first moved to England I noticed the water here is very harsh for my skin and hair. My hair fell out and my skin was very dry and itchy after a shower. I heard about vitamin c shower filters from a friend who had one and decided to give it a try. I bought mine over a year ago from www.showerfiltersuk.co.uk and it worked. My dry skin patches have gone and I don’t have the irritation after a shower. My skin feels young, and very soft and my hair is thicker and shinier. Best of all I don’t have to remember to put cream on my body or take any vitamin supplements. My partner and I both like a long hot shower everyday and the filters last for ages. As I said, it works for us.
