Look Ma, no ganchos!

I've had my hair in the same braids for about three days now. Last night I took out my Mini Maxes and folded the braids up inside the Buff. This morning I decided not to put them back in, and I just oiled my hair and went out the door. My hair stayed in place all day:), and didn't get in my eyes (except, of course, when I foraged in the brambles). When I have my hair loose I have to hold it in place with the MiniMaxes. I think I'm going to keep it this way all summer :)

I just put my camera in my bag, so hopefully I'll get a picture. I washed and rebraided my hair, and it's now in the Buff, with ganchos. Rolling around at night should reorient the hairs so that they fit the braid, and it should stay together. It may be a week before I get around to gimping the picture though.

Here they are. They were taken Saturday evening. My hair was up, each braid's tip clipped to the other's base, during church service; the rest of the time, and until now, they have been held only by their own curliness, and the Buff at night. I showed the do to a gal at work and she really liked it.

Well, now it's time for me to take the braids down and take a shower. But I'm putting them right back up afterwards.
