Does it take a while before hair begins to like conditioning?

I never really used conditioning on regular basis for probably more than 10 years and when I started doing deep conditionings with coconut oil, jojoba oli and regular conditioners on my hair starting a month ago, my hair would get really frizzy, coarse and dry believe it or not.

But Ive stuck to it and a month later my hair feels incredibly smooth and silky. Does it take a while before hair gets used to it? Im so glad I didnt give up!

It could be your hair was in what I call "moisture shock", my hair goes all weird and crunchy if I use too much oils and heavy conditioners at once, usually it just goes away with regular washing. I used to have this problem with olive oil but it works fine now.
