All it was was a kind of shampoo stuff. Not a big deal. You can probably find it with some creative googling on your own. Oh, and you can't say the name in PMs either. They really don't want it mentioned for some odd reason. (the product owner/maker, and then the board mods.)

I don't even know what is and is not OK to mention???? This should be in the rules! By name so we know, or something. (If it isn't now, I don't remember it being there when I read them after joining. I was really curious too.)

I have no idea what the product is--nor do I really care--but speculating on it is pretty much what we were asked not to do. If you happened to mention it by accident, I don't think it would be a huge deal.

Yeah, specifically discussing it intentionally is what is warned against. Accidental dropping of names will apparently be reported and dealt with by deletion, but not in a refraction-type manner. That's what I pick up from the Site Support thread in mention, anyway. (McFearless: fisher2 is referring to the closed post at the top of the Site Support forum area)

The manufacturer of the product which cannot be named has threatened LHC's site owner with legal action if negative comments about the product were posted. The manufacturer would have been okay with it being discussed here if all comments were positive. Our site owner decided instead that the product would not be discussed at all.

Mods cannot read your PMs. The bad word filter has been set to star out several variations of this company's name. This applies to both posts and PMs.

I don't know where all these images are hosted, but there are specific reasons we don't allow hotlinking at LHC. 1) It uses bandwidth from the server hosting the image every time the thread is loaded. If it the owner of that server hasn't intended it to get so much traffic, that can cause problems for them. 2) We have no control over what's done with that image/file. In particular, the server owner can retaliate by replacing the image with some other image. This has happened before, where a hotlinked image was replaced by porn.
