1. Conditioner! I use a plain conditioner base from a company that sells soapmaking supplies and such.
2. A light, penetrating oil (camellia, avocado, argan, fractionated coconut... All seem to work pretty well, and I'm sure there are more possibilities) for heavy oiling, light oiling, and enriching my conditioner.
3. A resin wide-tooth comb. While I also love my horn comb and I have a good BBB, I could live without those without real hardship.
4. Hairbands. Clips and sticks are fine, but don't take away my hairbands! I use satin scrunchies at home and cut-up tights when I'm out.
5. Shampoo. This is at the bottom of the list because I don't need it every week, but I probably wouldn't want to live without it forever.

6.Coconut oil + shea butter :)
7. Henna sooq shampoo bars + avc to seal the cuticle

1) Wood comb or Tangle Teezer. Preferably TT.
2) Conditioner.
3) Oil. I tend to mess around with different ones, but if I had to pick one it'd be camellia or roasted sesame. Probably camellia, as it isn't stinky.
4) Braid enders.
5) Hair stick.
6) Sleep bonnet.

That's basically everything I use for weeks at a time. I've got duplicates and a few more types of hair toys, like the Ficcare I'm wearing today, but I wouldn't complain too loudly if I had to live with those 6 for the rest of my life.

Anje, I have never heard of using roasted sesame oil on hair! That would be... fragrant! Does it work better for you than the plain untoasted kind?

It seems marginally better than the untoasted kind. I have no idea why, but my hair likes to sop it up in ways it never does with olive or coconut oil. Good slip, too.

Wide-tooth comb and a hair stick. Everything else is nice, but I'd be able to move on if for some reason I couldn't use them.

Condish
Henna for glosses
BBB
Hairstick/pencil

Theyre my absolute necessities to keep my hair nice. Other things are great to have, but I could likely do without.
Actually, this helped me a lot, because maybe if I try just using the absolute necessities, then it would certainly help my budget for the coming year, as my first year at uni, and away from home. I have henna stocked up to last a long while, so all I would need to buy is cheap condish from the pound store.
