Shedding with SMT

I just did my first SMT today (my hair is still in a plastic bag) and I noticed a lot more hair than usual coming out of my head when I was combing the SMT through my hair. I lost about 20 hairs and I normally lose around 3 or 4 just washing my hair regularly. Has anyone else had this problem?

Or does anyone know why it would do this?

20 hairs doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary. I would guess the hairs are just normal sheds that are coming out due to the slipperiness of the treatment instead of staying tangled with the rest.

That said, I am always on the lookout for irritation problems with SMT's because I'm allergic to honey. No problems yet (knock on wood).
