Messy Scarf Braid! (picture alert)

I absolutely adore scarf braids. I am actually buying up a whole bunch of scarfs for this reason. They are great for looking nice and keeping your hair out of the way. Also if you sleep in one it can give you nice curls in the morning. :D

I love braiding my hair with scarves! I get the thin, filmy, or silky kind, because otherwise it makes my braids too large. I actually put the scarf around my neck and braid each half into pigtail braids, which I then criss cross in the back and wrap up over to criss cross again at the top of my head and back down to tie the ends at the back of my neck. It requires bobby pins to keep the ends in place. I'll have to try your version!

Whenever I do them them I do a low pony pulled to the side. then I loop the ribbon or whatever through the elastic and pull it through so its in half and I just braid with the two halves of ribbon and the two halves of pony tail:)
