What is Biosil?

I decided to make a thread about this, so that other people can find this information easily, instead of sharing this question with my other thread.
I am so curious to know more about Biosil, and what it is. As I understand it, it is supposed to make you hair grow faster, including your nails? Has anyone experienced that? Please share.

I've never heard of biosil but lots of people take biotin for a similar reason?

Biosil is just a brand name for a certain silica supplement.
