Hey guys
I went to my local Indian store to see what kind of henna they carry
They had jamilla...I bought a few boxes as at .99cents you can't beat the price
I also bought two boxes of
ZARQA black henna
I know to stay away from ppd?? And compound henna
This one says just
GROUND INDIGO LEAVES
Anyone familiar with it???is it safe?
It was only 99 cents as well...so no biggie if you guys tell me it's crap
I would love to use it and save some money!
Thoughts?

There is info on hennaforhair.com about how to tell if what you have is indigo or PPD. I can't link right now because I'm posting from my phone but it's somewhere on the ppd info page I think.

Other than that I don't know.

Yes I read it
From the looks of it it's pure indigo
May not be best of the best
I will know once I mix it with water
thanks for a quick reply

It seems that Zarqa black henna (indigo) does indeed contain PPD :( - I saw an ebay seller even saying that in their ad - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zarqa-Black-Henna-Hair-Dye-Powder-100g-Herbal-/400233532981?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Hair_Care_Hair_Co louring_Dyes_PP&hash=item5d2fc70e35 , and several people were saying the same in the hennaforhair forum...

This is of course probably too late for the OP, unfortunately, but just to let everyone know to avoid it!

I threw it out and never used it
I mixed it and waited for dye release which never happenned
So I threw it out
Don't want to chance it...I am sticking with hennasooq ...and ordering my indigo from them
