Can you help me find, and do this updo?

Tippi Henren, in The Birds, had a beautiful updo the entire time and it was an interesting tie up in the back. I tried googling it and looking at images but couldn't find anything to post to ask advice on.

Any ideas on this one?

I think you're having trouble, because you're spelling her name wrong? It's Hedren, not Henren! That might be the source of your problems.

Yes, looks like a french twist, probably with the bottom half of her hair in the twist and then the top half of her hair arranged in that swoop and pinned around it. Probably similar to the method shown here. (http://beautyisathingofthepast.blogspot.com/2009/02/french-twist.html) I think her hair was relatively short at the time.

Thanks for posting that link, Roseate. That's how I learned to do the french twist back in the 60's. It - of course! - included teasing the crown. And hair-spray, lots and lots of hair spray. My lungs probably still have lacquer in them.
