So I just did my first CO last night after a fairly heavy oiling that I left in over 24hrs.....annnnnnndddd (drumroll) my hair hasn't felt this soft in a very very long time...I LOVE CO WASHES! I can't believe how soft my damaged straw-like hair has become, it actually feels like..well...hair. Just wanted to Share!:cheese:

What oil did you use???? I need to know exactly what you did! My hair isn't behaving :(

I oiled my hair fairly heavily and wore it in a bun for two days. I used a combination of NightBloomings Panacea Hair Salve, her Triple Moon Anointing Oil, a little jojoba, and a little argan. I know it is sort of a mishmash but it really worked for me and I added oil basically until my hair couldn't saturate anymore. The hair salve is awesome and has saved my really damaged ends!

amber maiden, was wondering why you are only CO washing once a week? Not saying you are doing anything wrong, just curious. Myself, when I swapped from shampoo to CO washing I went from twice a week shampoo to every other day CO washing. I used to wait as long as possible to shampoo as my ends were dry even though my scalp was oily. With CO washing, even every other day my ends don't get all dry and I can CO wash whenever my scalp feels oily. Admit now after three weeks it's actually letting me occasionally skip two days as my oil production appears to be calming down.

I've been COing for a little over a month now, and I found that my hair just liked having its own oil (sebum) more than it liked being washed. It feels lighter, healthier, and is more shiny if I only wash it/CO it once a week. Last week i tried to CO it three times, and I found that my hair balance is really OFF now... It feels more dry, isn't behaving etc... Its just something that I found worked for me :) Is it weird??
