Hi,

I have decided that I am going to try and grow out all my layers and grow one length (except for a fringe/bangs) I am going to make an appointment a local salon that has a good reputation for really listening and doing what they are told.

At the moment I have lots of layers of different lengths in it and its starting to look messy, how can I tell them that I want to grow it to one length but still do microtrims so the ends of the layers dont get ratty and damaged?

Does that make any sense???

I'm also growing out my layers, but I'm doing more than micro-trims because I have damage. So far I have been telling my stylist to trim 1/2 inch from my layers, and an inch from the total length. It's growing out nicely so far. :) I have a bit of a fear of salons, so I have been having a family friend who has a licence come to my house to do it. I feel a bit more in control, and like I can voice my opinion better in my own home. At the end of August I have an appointment in a real salon, so we will see how that goes...
