Hello! Help determining hair type? (pics)

Hello everyone!
I've actually been lurking LHC for a while now, after reading somewhere about CO-washing and then stumbling upon the site. I've since been CO-washing for at least six months, maybe a year? I'm not sure. I did have a lapse for a couple of weeks though, when it got super oily. But all seems to be going well now; I don't think my hair has ever been this soft before. I've also been stretching my washes out and have gone from every second day to once or twice a week. I've bought my own hair scissors for trimming and am currently trying to decide on a comb.
I'm also a little unsure about my hairtype, I was think 2a-2b?

I think my hair is about BSL? It's about as long as I want it be, maybe waist length. Mostly I joined LHC to learn about keeping my hair healthy and maybe learn how to do some awesome braids!

Welcome! Yeah, those are some big pictures! It happens! I'm thinking you're about right with 2a-2b. It looks a bit more wave-y so I'm leaning toward the 2b side.

I think 2b or 2c. My hair is very similar to yours.

I'm leaning towards 2b... maybe 2c? Hmm not sure. It's definitely more than 2a, though.

The a b c after the 2 doesn't really have much to do with the curl or wave pattern, but the coarseness of the hair strand, correct?

I do remember reading that somewhere on the forums, Kelikea. But the typing system linked in the Useful Links thread (http://archive.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=8954) uses the first classifier purely to describe the curl/wave pattern. And I'm guessing since it's the typing system linked then it is the most valid?

As a 2a, I definitely think your beautiful waves are 2b/2c.

I guess I would be a 2b/2c then. Maybe you are a 2a/2b? I was going by a different typing before, so I will need to update my profile when eligible.

I'm thinking 2c since it has some good curls at the ends.

You can update it now, I think. You go to 'User CP' up on the top bar and then click 'Edit your details' on the side bar. At least, that worked for me.

Man, that last post was meant to be a reply to Kelikea. I am no good at this forum business. Thanks to everyone for helping me type my hair. I think I'll go with 2b/2c, for now.
