I found these really neat videos while randomly surfing Youtube. For those who are looking for more casual hairstick updos, I hope this helps! Most of them are in Japanese but the videos are pretty straightforward.

From nishinasari:

From littlemooncojp (seems to be a channel promoting an online store, they have other videos using different hairtoys):

From Etherealvixen:

I love the last one! I'm planning on wearing it out tomorrow. :D

I'm gonna grab my daughter and try the second one from littlemoon. We are practicing with pencils until the hair sticks arrive. I think I can do that one on her, her hair is fine and these styles look like they will stay put in her hair.

Wonderful... and to think I always thought that you'd need two hairsticks and an elastic :)) Well, I have some new up-dos to learn :)

They are really pretty! But I could not make one of them work on me although my hair seems long enough - neither of them held at all.

Tips please?

Thanks for this. I've been doing a style which needs two hair sticks and have just learnt a quicker neater way to get the same look with only one hair stick

I guess those styles are all for people with fairly short hair by LHC standards. Also, I doubt they'd work for anyone whose hair is seriously thick. Those kind of styles never work for me. My hair just laughs and falls back down straight away.

Good point. Though for longer hair, I thought it would look nice. They could have a bit of a side ponytail thing going on. :D I should try these out on my little sister (who has much thicker hair than me) and see if there's a way to work around it.

Yours look great unfortunately i have a lot of hair. Most of those styles my hair would spit out the sticks but it's very interesting to see thanks :)
