I read somewhere that during WWII, women were wearing their hair extra long because of Veronica Lake's long locks. Well, since so many women were working in the factories while their men were deployed, there were many accidents with hair getting caught in the machines. Legend has it that they talked Veronica Lake into cutting her hair to promote factory safety. Cool story.

Any other neat historical hair stories?

Thanks for the video clip! Veronica Lake had such a gorgeous head of hair! So silky and wavy. I always enjoyed her movies and was sad when I read of her life after her career ended. Fame is so fleeting and poor Veronica learned that the hard way.
