I know I should post this on the WO thread, (and I did) but nobody has responded yet and school is starting up again soon and I really hope to have my hair adjusted by then, sorry if this is considered rude but I really need some advice. So I am on my 6th week of WO and this is the greasiest my hair has EVER been, it was so bad I caved and did an egg yolk shampoo. It cleaned super well but now I am afraid I will have set my adjustment period back a few weeks. Should I clarify and start over or would it be alright to just continue with WO rinses?

In my opinion try sticking with it first. Then, if it doesn't satisfy you, you can always clarify (not sure what that means, I'm assuming starting over) then. I did an egg wash once also in an attempt to cut the oiliness. It worked, but left me itchy. I didn't feel that I had set myself back any, other than the oil was gone and needed redistributing with my brush.
Hope that helps!

I'd keep going as if you never did it. It may take a few weeks for your hair to find its normal, but I think clarifying would set you back further. When I did WO (I stuck to it for about 8 months, then decided my ends were too dry), I always found that if I COed, it took at least 2 weeks for my hair to return to normal, but it always eventually did.

don't forget to clean your brushes and do a thorough preen! may save you from having to do an egg wash in future :)
