Affordable Hair Scissor Recommendations

I need to buy some hair scissors for the splits I'm finding (I never noticed them before LHC.... :( ) I found alot of threads for hair scissors, but some of them were outdated! Some of the specific scissors have changed (or at least the links did), and so have the prices!

I'm looking to spend around $20-40 (ish) on hair scissors. I don't want to spend too much, since I plan on getting yearly salon cuts, and I spend $30-50 on each CG haircut. Do you guys have any favorites? I would really appreciate links, or information on stores that carry them in America. Amazon.com is especially great for me since I have free shipping. Thanks!

I live in some completely different country (let's just call it Hungary), where you can buy fairly cheap and reasonably good quality hair scissors in any larger beauty supply store. And as far as I saw the States, beauty supply stores have a much larger selection of everything - or, in fact, everything has a much larger selection of everything - so probably you just need to walk in one and ask the staff :)

Although sometimes LHC wisdom says, any sharp scissor will do, if you make sure you use it for nothing but your hair.

I get some Conair ones from the grocery store/drug store. They are about $10.

I got a pair of Tweezerman brand scissors from a beauty supply. I think they were $30-$40.

Another alternative if you don't find anything you like / in your price range in a beauty store is to buy fabric/needlework/embroidery scissors. They need exactly the same qualities as hair scissors (i.e. very sharp, only used for their designated purpose and nothing else), the only difference is that they have the blades at a slight angle to enable you to easily cut fabric that is lying on a flat surface.

In your price range, available on Amazon, and as a bonus tweezerman will sharpen them for free. I recently bought these but have not used them, yet. I already had the $10 conair ones, but decided I wanted to upgrade.
