I'm going to a wedding today and have no idea what to do with my hair besides a bun.
Mind you my hair was in dreadlocks til recently. I'm combing them out but still have about a third of it locked up. The lower right of my head.
I'm looking for something that will hide the fact that I'm in that in between stage.
Any thoughts?

Ironic - I'm attending a wedding today as well, and came here for inspiration :D

Would a side braid of some sort camouflage it? Depends on how formal the wedding is, though. Maybe a side braided bun?

Well...What you might is create a loose braid and incorporate the locked dreds into the style.

Detangle your loose hair thoroughly, then comb it back so that it falls down your back.

Divide the hair as you would for a braid as follows:

Section one..section of hair from the left
section two..section of hair from the middle
Section three..the locked hair dreds

Now, braid all three sections together, slightly loosely, down to the ends and fasten off with a hair friendly elastic.

You can then form the braid in a coil and create a circlet, pinning it with large crimped hairpins...OR

Bring the braid up to the crown, fold in the braid on itself, and pin down both sides. Torrin Paige on you tube has a video showing this style -- called The Masara, I believe.

These girls have great loc tutorials (my hair's not loced but their hair makes me consider it every now and then):

(check out her updo tutorials in the left side of your screen)

Maybe you could do an updo like this (her hair's fully loced but I think you'd still be able to do it), and just incorporate your loose hair in the back with it:

If your flat-twisting skills aren't that great maybe you could curl your locs and loose hair and do a bun or updo on those. Curls are very forgiving and great at hiding things like drastic layers, different textures e.t.c.:

Without seeing what you're working with it's kind of hard for me to suggest a hairstyle for you to try but I hope one of these resources helps. Have fun at the wedding!

Flexi 8's especially the ones with the sparkly aurea borealis dangles in a chignon bun with sparkly earrings[or the same flexis in a french twist or in a regular or topsy tail pony ]would look so great! As an alternative ,you can use a fancy ficcare [I've glued cloth flowers on mine] in updos looks great also.
