I have a lot of flakes on the hair strands, and to remove them, I have to pull along the whole strand. My hair is almost tailbone length so this is time consuming. How else can I get rid of these flakes?

I haven't washed my hair for 3 weeks (postpartum confinement) so the problem has gotten worse...

Prior to childbirth, I was using BS and WV to wash my hair the last couple of months. I liked it but the flakes were always there.

Brushing is good for removing flakes -- or at least keeping them at a reasonable amount. Be sure your brush is pure boar bristle. Nylon and synthetic brushes can ruin your hair in no time. They generate heat, and heat is not good for your hair.

I've also used Neutrogena's T-Gel shampoo with success.
